About
I am the sole owner and luthier of Robt. C. Morrow Guitars.
I continue to be a professional educator, teaching high school science for the past 38 years, while building guitars during evenings, weekends, and during my summer breaks.
For over two decades, I spent my summers building handmade furniture before turning my focus to becoming a luthier of fine guitars.
My passion for guitars began in college with my first guitar—a Sigma DR-28. Years later, my wife Polly gave me a Martin HD-28V as a gift to celebrate the birth of our son.
I developed my knowledge of lutherie with many visits to the C. F. Martin Guitar & Co. factory and extensive research of vintage Martin guitars of the early 1900’s to late 1930’s. In 2010, I applied that knowledge to build my first prototype acoustic guitars for personal use.
Robt. C. Morrow guitars are inspired by vintage Martin instruments from the early 20th century and are handcrafted using only the finest tone woods and materials.
